Just wondering :) kojisaysaloha: The cost of having an outdated, overstretched public education system on society is way too much. Along with that, college tuition is too expensive and that price tag is rising every year. How are the CEOs/CFOs at these major education institutions really preparing their graduates when they are saddling them with massive amounts of debt? They are certainly maximizing their profit on their product. The system is rigged, sexist, racist, classist, and just massively oppressive. It’s cheaper to buy arms and fast food than it is to be educated and fed. That’s unacceptable. And yes, I think we should tax the rich in order to subsidize education (or in the least divert subsidies away from weapons and corn to education). We need a simpler market and a simpler tax code, so that the “haves” can no longer run their game on the working people of America. The working people must wake up and call for this. Pennsylvania, my home, is the largest natural gas producing state without a severance tax when at the same time Gov. Corbett has slashed the education budget by $1.1 billion. It’s a good thing we have an election coming up. All I’m saying is that education is our greatest tool for achieving equality and equality is what I want.
